So the temperature is rising here, it is not longer -10°C (14°F) like when I got here last week, it has risen all the way to 9 (48°F) but it still drops to the negatives at night. Big big difference if you consider that my last days in Monterrey were sunny and with temperatures around 30°C(86°F), so im pretty much wearing pants and jackets not like back home where im always in shorts and t-shirts, big chance for me i swear...
This past days I have been walking around the city, just going around trying to find the places I will need to go to while I live here. (just the basic, supermarkets, the mall, restaurants and of course the licor store ...which is government owned here)
On my way there some kids were like Moi moi (which is like Hello) which kinda freaked me out cus I didn't quite get it, that it was meant for me... now I know how exchange students feel in Mexico when people just go out of their way to talk to them cus they are different. lol
The dorm is a cool place to live in, there is a lot of ppl from all over but mostly europeans, or more like all europeans except for this one dude from the US who is half Chileno and now me from Mexico. I seem very loud next to them but I think I actually am.... if only they could see us in groups like back home, then they would really run out the door....lol
Party-wise can't complain the place i went to this last weekend was great, yet I was surprised by the music cus it went from Lady Gaga, Daft Punk and Kanye West to Michael Jackson and finnish rap. Another thing that I found out that was a pleasant surprise is that the gym is pretty much empty all the time and I have 24 hour access which beats my old school gym for sure.
There is an event here that the business students are organizing, the PROM, I'm excited about that and can't wait to see how they do this kind party here... it'll be fun, and of course I'll post all the pictures here one day after Prom on April 23... I think there is also a Metro Station concert in Helsinki soon , heard it on the radio.. at least I think thats what I heard, I mean its in finnish so I cannot really be sure.. K later for now , ill make sure I keep this interesting....
ok now en español........
Jaja, nice. Dont you know some people in Finland who studied in Monterrey? That should help.
VastaaPoistaIn Mty, nobody would go out of their way to say hi just because we are american, but they would guess like 6 other countries before they guessed america as where Im from because they were probably really hoping I was from somewhere more exciting. Mexico is probably really exciting for Finland though. I doubt many Mexicans travel there.
Beto! Suerte, wey.
VastaaPoistaNice blog, I like it. Cuidate allá!
Donde esta post numero 3?
